RS 39:1986 - Effect of certification; duration; revocation A. Certification as a minority business enterprise or as a women's business enterprise shall entitle the enterprise to be counted by state agencies and educational institutions toward meeting overall annual goals under this Chapter. Certification as a minority business enterprise or as a women's business enterprise for a federal program shall entitle the enterprise to be counted by state agencies and educational institutions toward meeting enterprise goals under those programs. Certification shall be effective as of the date the application is approved by the division. B. Certification shall be effective for three years. The division may require an enterprise to submit periodic notarized statements regarding changes in the information provided during the initial certification process. The division shall renew the certification after the three-year period provided the enterprise continues to meet the eligibility criteria. C. Certification as a minority business enterprise or as a women's business enterprise does not constitute compliance with any other laws or regulations, including contractor registration or
