RS 39:340 - Examination of witnesses on oath Whenever the commissioner of administration finds it necessary for the proper settlement of any account, he or his authorized representative may examine the parties and others on oath or affirmation, touching any fact material to be known in the settlement of the account, and for that purpose may cause a subpoena to issue to compel witnesses to attend before him and give evidence in the manner provided by law.
