RS 4:736 - Legal representation of the office; attorney general Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the attorney general shall be the legal advisor to the office and, except as otherwise provided by law, shall counsel and advise the office, shall represent it in all legal proceedings, and shall prosecute any civil action for a violation of the provisions of this Chapter or the rules and regulations of the office. The office shall compensate the attorney general for representation of the office. Acts 1999, No. 568, §3, eff. June 30, 1999.
