RS 40:1012 - Authority to contract In accordance with the Public Bid Law, R.S. 38:2211 et seq., the board shall have the authority to contract with another agency of this state or with a private vendor, as necessary, to ensure the effective operation of the prescription monitoring program. Any contractor shall be bound to comply with provisions regarding confidentiality of prescription information in R.S. 40:1007 and further shall be subject to the penalties specified in R.S. 40:1009 for unlawful acts.
