RS 40:1255.2 - Telehealth services; alignment of reimbursement with Medicare policy A. The department shall periodically review policies regarding Medicaid reimbursement for telehealth services to identify variations between permissible reimbursement under that program and reimbursement available to healthcare providers under the Medicare program. B. To the extent practicable, notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, after conducting a review provided for in Subsection A of this Section, the department may modify its administrative rules, policies, and procedures applicable to Medicaid reimbursement for telehealth services as necessary to provide for a reimbursement system that is comparable to that of the Medicare program for those services.
