RS 40:1395 - Counsel for employees and division in certain litigations The attorney general may defend any criminal or civil action in which any employee of the division is a party by reason of acts performed in the course of duty, which, in his opinion, requires his services to protect the interests of the state. The department may, with the approval of the governor, appoint an attorney for the division.
