RS 40:1790 - Rules and regulations; importation of firearms The department may prescribe such rules and regulations as are necessary for carrying out the provisions of this Part. Under regulations prescribed by the department, any firearm may be imported or brought into this state or possessed or transferred when the purpose thereof is shown to be lawful.
