RS 40:31.61 - Legislative intent The Legislature of Louisiana wishes to further efforts by the Parkinson's community to find a cure for this devastating disease by helping to determine how many people in the state suffer from Parkinson's and by gathering vital information from these individuals, such as general age, ethnicity, gender, as well as possible environmental factors that may have played a part in the development of the disease. Thus, it is the intent of the legislature to establish a system to collect and assess information and data regarding the incidence of Parkinson's disease in the state. Acts 2005, No. 210, §1.
