RS 40:578 - Procedure for exercising powers The exercise by a state public body of the powers granted it in this Part shall be authorized by resolution of its government body, adopted by a majority of the members thereof present at the meeting of the governing body. This resolution may be adopted at the meeting at which it is introduced. It shall take effect immediately and need not be laid over, published, or posted. Acts 1997, No. 1188, §1.
