RS 40:63 - Abortion, induced termination of pregnancy; purpose The purpose of this Part shall be the compilation of relevant maternal life and health factors and data concerning abortions which may be used in the improvement of maternal health and life. The further purpose and function of this Part shall be to serve as a monitor on all induced terminations of pregnancies performed in the state of Louisiana to assure that they are performed only in accordance with the provisions of law.
