RS 40:638 - Duties of district attorney Each district attorney to whom the department reports any violation for institution of criminal or injunction proceedings under this Part, or to whom any health, food, or drug officer of the state or political subdivision thereof, presents evidence satisfactory to the district attorney, of any such violation, shall institute appropriate proceedings in the proper court without delay.
