RS 40:722 - Penalty for violations Whoever violates any provision of this Part shall be fined, for the first offense, not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars or imprisoned for not less than ten days nor more than ninety days, or both. For each subsequent offense, he shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned for not less than ninety days nor more than six months, or both.
