RS 41:1 - Functions relative to state lands A. The commissioner of administration of the division of administration or his designee, hereinafter in this Chapter referred to as the 'commissioner', shall perform the functions of the state which relate to the administration and supervision of state lands, as provided by law. The commissioner may name a designee to perform certain of these functions as more specifically provided in this Chapter. B. For purposes of this Title and any other provision of law, the terms 'state land office' or 'Register of the State Land Office' shall be deemed to refer to the commissioner or his designee.
