RS 41:139 - Notice to local governing authorities of intention to dispose of real property The state or any of its boards, commissions, departments or agencies, prior to disposing of any real property held by it, except buildings, shall give notice to the governing authority of the parish and/or municipality in which the property is located. The notice shall be in writing and shall advise such authority of the intention to dispose of the property and shall include a description of the property, the manner in which such property shall be disposed of, and the terms and conditions upon which such disposition is proposed to be made; provided, however, that publication of such notice in the official journal of the parish wherein the property is located shall constitute the required written notification.
