RS 41:4 - Description of land or warrants in receipt A. A description of the land or warrants shall be included in the order on the state treasurer to receive the money for the lands. No entry shall be made upon the books, maps, or other official record until the receipt of the state treasurer, also describing the land or warrants, has been submitted and filed in the office of the secretary or his designee. B. Whoever violates the provision of this Section shall be fined five thousand dollars and shall be imprisoned for a term not more than ten nor less than two years. Acts 1983, No. 705, §3, eff.
