RS 41:673 - Lease to pay for improvements where sale refused Whenever any person has settled and improved the sixteenth section, and the inhabitants of the township refuse to sell the section, as provided by law, then the parish treasurer shall cause the section to be leased, and the lease shall be given to the person who may purpose to take the land for the shortest time on paying the settler for the improvements.
