RS 41:803 - Sale at public auction; withdrawal The register shall adjudicate the lands at public auction to the last and highest bidder at his office and in case the land so offered for sale fails to bring at auction the price of five dollars per acre the land shall be withdrawn from sale by the register and cannot thereafter be sold except by another advertisement as required by R.S. 41:802, nor except to the last and highest bidder at public auction for a price not less than five dollars per acre.
