RS 42:1405 - Secrecy of ballot; interference with voter; penalty A. No voter shall allow his ballot to be seen by any person with an apparent intention of letting it be known how he is about to vote, or place any distinguishing mark upon his ballot, or make a false statement as to his inability to mark his ballot. No person shall interfere or attempt to interfere with any voter when marking his ballot, or endeavor to induce any voter before voting to show how he is about to mark or has marked his ballot, or influence or attempt to influence any voter to vote for or against a particular candidate, or otherwise violate any of the provisions of this Chapter or rules adopted pursuant thereto. B. Whoever violates this Section shall be punished in accordance with R.S. 18:1461, R.S. 14:119, R.S. 14:120, R.S. 14:136, or any other applicable law enacted to punish violations of laws relating to other elections.
