RS 42:431 - Definitions The following words and terms, when used in this Part, shall have the following meanings: (1) 'Public employee' means any full-time employee of this state or of any branch of the state government, of any executive department of the state, or of any agency, board, or commission of the state, or local governmental subdivision. However, no elected official shall be considered a public employee for purposes of this Part. (2) 'Team' includes any group leader, coach, official, or athlete who is a member of the official delegation of the United States to world, Pan American, or Olympic competition. (3) 'World, Pan American, or Olympic Competition' means any athletic competition involving athletes from two or more nation states. Added by Acts 1978, No. 70, §1, eff. June 16, 1978.
