RS 42:435 - Reimbursement of costs for substitute If the absence of a public employee necessitates the hiring of a substitute during the employee's absence, the state shall reimburse the governmental branch, department, agency, board, commission, or local governmental subdivision of this state for actual costs incurred in employing the substitute.
