RS 42:75 - Appointment to fill vacancy Whenever the court of competent jurisdiction declares that any public officer, whose office is established by the constitution, has forfeited his office, within contemplation of R.S. 42:72, the governor shall fill such office by appointment under the laws providing for filling vacancies in public offices.
