RS 45:265 - Violation of law by carrier's owners, officers, etc. No owner, officer, agent or employee of a common carrier shall wilfully violate any of the provisions of this Chapter forbidding discrimination on the part of such carriers. Each violation of such provisions shall be deemed a separate offense. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined not less than fifty dollars, nor more than one thousand dollars, or imprisoned for not less than ten days, nor more than six months. The venue for all prosecutions for violation of this Chapter shall be in the district court of the parish in which the offense is committed.
