RS 45:790 - Messages preventing apprehension of fugitives or assisting escape; penalty No operator or agent of any telegraph or telephone company shall transmit any message which can in any way tend to defeat the ends of justice, by preventing the apprehension of fugitives from justice, or by communicating information which may enable persons charged with offense to escape. Whoever violates this Section shall be imprisoned not less than one year nor more than two years, and fined not less than two hundred and fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
