RS 46:1820 - Attorney fees As part of an order resulting from a hearing, the board shall determine and award reasonable attorney's fees, commensurate with services rendered, to be paid from the fund in accordance with rules adopted by the board. Additional attorney's fees may be awarded by a court in the event of a review by the court in which the claimant prevails. Attorney's fees may be denied on a finding that the claim or appeal is frivolous. Awards of attorney's fees shall be in addition to awards of reparations and may be made whether or not compensation is awarded. In no event shall an award of attorney's fees be in excess of a rate of fifty dollars per hour. Added by Acts 1982, No. 250, §1, eff. July 17, 1982.
