RS 46:1936 - Use of multiparish juvenile detention home A juvenile detention home established pursuant to this Part shall be used for the temporary detention of juveniles within the jurisdiction of the city and/or district courts of the parishes composing said multiparish juvenile detention district while awaiting trial or other disposition of their cases, runaways within the jurisdiction of said courts, and juveniles awaiting transfer to the Louisiana Department of Corrections. Juveniles not within the jurisdiction of said courts may be accepted by the governing authorities of the home in accordance with rules and regulations adopted therefor by the board, but only upon payment or agreement of a responsible public body to pay the fees established by the board for care and maintenance.
