RS 46:978 - Short title; legislative intent A. This Chapter shall be known and may be cited as the 'Health Care Reform Act of 2007'. B. It is the intent of the legislature that the state shall lead the initiative to improve health care outcomes in Louisiana by developing and implementing a health care delivery system that provides a continuum of evidence-based, quality driven health care services. This health care delivery system shall be known as Louisiana Health First and shall consist of a medical home system of care. The medical home system of care shall incorporate the use of health information technology and quality measures to facilitate a safe, patient-centered, quality driven, evidence-based, accessible, and sustainable health care system to Medicaid recipients and low-income uninsured citizens.
