RS 47:3 - Suits for taxes by other states; jurisdiction of courts The district courts of the State of Louisiana, including the civil district court for the parish of Orleans, and the appellate courts of this state are hereby authorized and empowered to entertain suits brought by any state of the United States or the political subdivisions thereof, and in such suits to recognize, apply and enforce the tax laws of such states and subdivisions, provided the courts of such other state are empowered to entertain and adjudicate in like manner any suits brought by the State of Louisiana or its political subdivisions for taxes.
