RS 47:463.133 - Special prestige license plates; Louisiana largemouth bass A. The secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections shall establish a special prestige license plate to be known as the Louisiana largemouth bass plate provided there is a minimum of one thousand applicants for the plate. The license plate shall be restricted to passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans, boat trailers, and recreational vehicles. The plate shall be of a color and design selected by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, provided that it is in compliance with R.S. 47:463(A)(3) and shall bear a logo with a picture of a largemouth bass. B. The charge for this special license plate shall be twenty-six dollars, which shall be assessed every two years, and shall be in addition to the regular fee charged under the provisions of R.S. 47:463 and a handling fee of three dollars and fifty cents to be retained by the department to offset a portion of administrative costs. C. The monies received from the additional twenty-six-dollar fee shall be annually disbursed to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation and used solely for the production and stocking of Florida bass.
