RS 47:463.30 - Special license plates for active full-time professional firefighters A. The secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections shall establish special motor vehicle license plates which may be issued, upon application, to any citizen of Louisiana who is an active full-time professional firefighter. B. The fee for issuing the special active full-time professional firefighter plate shall be an initial one-time fee of twenty-five dollars at the time the original plate is issued, which shall be in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration license fee. C. The secretary shall provide by rules and regulations for the implementation of this Section. Oversight review shall be conducted by the House and Senate Committees on Transportation, Highways and Public Works. Acts 1990, No. 721, §1, eff.
