RS 48:103 - Authority of commission The commission and the department shall succeed to all of the rights, powers and authority granted the State Planning Commission by the provisions of Act 72 of 1940, including the authority of the department to acquire property and property rights under any of the provisions of this Chapter, for the purpose of planning and developing the Great River Road project in accordance with federal law and regulations. The department is authorized to erect and maintain signs designating the route of the Great River Road through Louisiana. These signs shall be the standard marker developed and approved for the Great River Road by the National Commission. Added by Acts 1980, No. 760, §1.
