RS 48:1153 - Plans and specifications Every bridge to be constructed in pursuance of such contract shall be constructed according to standards of safety prescribed by the department of highways; provided, however, that the department shall not be required to approve the plans and specifications for such bridge except to the extent necessary for public safety.
