RS 48:1271 - Maintenance and repair of expressway project, etc. A. Each expressway project when constructed and opened to traffic shall be maintained and kept in good condition and repair by the Authority. Each such project shall have such force of toll-takers and other operating employees as the Authority may in its discretion employ. B. All public or private property damaged or destroyed in carrying out the powers granted by this Chapter shall be restored or repaired and placed in its original condition as nearly as practicable or adequate compensation made therefor out of funds provided under this Chapter. C. The Department of Transportation and Development shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the expressway system. Acts 1954, No. 232, §21.
