RS 48:289 - Compliance with Civil Rights Act of 1964 A. Department personnel when selecting consultants and contractors who are doing business with the department shall comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended to provide that no person in the United States shall, on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin, be excluded from participation in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. B. As prescribed in Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 26, the department shall ensure that maximum opportunity is afforded to socially and economically disadvantaged individuals to compete for and participate in consultant contracts.
