RS 48:456.1 - Estimate less than deposit The plaintiff shall not be required to amend its petition in order to obtain judgment in an amount less than that originally deposited into the registry of the court, but the plaintiff may not introduce evidence as to any special benefits unless specially pleaded. If severance damages are pleaded by the defendant, the plaintiff shall have the opportunity to plead special benefits twenty days prior to trial. Acts 1974, Ex.Sess., No. 30, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 1975.
