RS 48:485 - Designation of roads or streets The governing authority of any parish may designate roads or streets located within the parish and outside of municipalities by assigning thereto road numbers and indicating the parish and ward in which such road is located and may post appropriate markers to inform the public of such number, parish and ward, and the numbering of such roads and the design of such markers may be coordinated through the Parish Road Section of the State Department of Highways for the purpose of achieving statewide uniformity.
