RS 48:511 - Changing public road; penalty A. No person shall turn, alter, or change any public road as defined in R.S. 48:491 and being a parish or municipal road, except upon order of the governing authority of the parish for a parish road, whether or not within a municipality, or upon order of the governing authority of the municipality for a municipal road. B. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined one hundred dollars for each month the road is altered or turned out of its old course. Acts 1989, No. 815, §1.
