RS 48:53 - Personnel authority The secretary, subject only to the limitations of appropriations thereto and all of the applicable provisions of Title 36 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, may abolish positions; transfer duties between positions; and assign duties to, direct and control the work of, and transfer, promote, demote, remove, and otherwise change the status of employees of the department and fix the compensation thereof.
