RS 48:762 - Criminal penalty Any person who knowingly uses or causes the use of parish transportation funds for purposes not authorized by this Part shall be subject to prosecution under the provisions of R.S. 14:134 et seq. In addition to this criminal penalty, the parish governing authority shall have a right of action against the person to recover in a civil action the amount of the funds which were so misused.
