RS 49:214.38 - Effect on titles A. Nothing in this Subpart shall be construed as affecting the status of the title of the state or other governmental body to real rights in lands or water bottoms. B. Except as may be otherwise authorized by law, the involuntary acquisition, directly or indirectly, of privately owned property is not necessary to achieve the intents and purposes of this Subpart, and no rule, regulation, ordinance, order, or standard, the purpose or application of which is to effect an involuntary acquisition or taking of such property, shall be adopted, enacted, or implemented pursuant to the provisions of this Subpart.
