RS 49:221.1 - Designees; powers The secretary of state is hereby authorized to designate the first assistant secretary of state, the undersecretary of management and finance, the deputy secretary of state, the confidential assistant, or the legal counsel for the Department of State, to represent him at any meeting of any board, commission, or other public body of which the secretary of state is a member. In such a case, any action taken or vote made by said designee shall carry the full force and effect as if made by the secretary of state. Acts 1991, No. 65, §1, eff. June 25, 1991.
