RS 49:228 - Direct computer access to certain public records; fee The secretary of state is authorized to provide direct computer access to public records in the custody of the Department of State. The department is authorized to assess a fee for such access pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 49:222. Said fee shall not exceed the cost of providing the service.
