RS 49:662 - Definitions As used in this Chapter: A. 'State agency' means any board, commission, department, agency, or institution, including colleges and universities, in the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the State, or any official or authorized representative of said agency. B. 'Political subdivision' means any parish, municipality, or any other unit of local government, including a school board and a special district, authorized by law to perform governmental functions. C. 'Federal agency' means the United States government or any of its boards, departments, commissions, corporations, or agencies or any official or authorized representatives thereof.
