RS 49:73 - Persons to whom applicable; exceptions Except as otherwise provided in this Part relative to a principal or employer of a lobbyist, the provisions of this Part shall apply only to persons who are lobbyists as defined in R.S. 49:72. The provisions of this Part shall not apply to an elected or appointed public official or any designee of such an official, when such designee is a public employee and when such elected or appointed official or public employee is acting in the performance of his or her official public duties.
