RS 51:3101 - Definitions For purposes of this Chapter, the following terms and phrases shall have the following meaning: (1) 'Commissioner' means the commissioner of the Office of Financial Institutions. (2) 'Financial institution' means any state or federally chartered bank, savings bank, savings and loan association, or trust company, which is operating in Louisiana with an existing branch, branches or main office. (3) 'Local government' means a municipality or parish governing authority. Acts 2007, No. 255, §1.
