RS 56:192 - Purpose The purpose of Louisiana Acres for Wildlife is to supplement the commission's efforts of protection, conservation, and fostering of wild birds and game within the state of Louisiana in wildlife management areas, refuges and recreation areas under its jurisdiction by stimulating the application of sound wildlife management practices by providing recommendations to private landowners or lessees producing and maintaining suitable food, water, and cover conditions favorable to the support, replenishment, and propagation of the wildlife of the state.
