RS 56:319.2 - Designation and taking of exotic fish The commission is authorized to designate as exotic a species of fish not indigenous to the state of Louisiana. The commission may promulgate rules under the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act to authorize the taking of exotic fish from public waters in the state under specified licenses and by specified gear. The secretary may issue permits as authorized by the commission. Such permits shall be valid for one year and shall be subject to monitoring, review, and suspension or revocation by the secretary.
