RS 56:728 - Appropriations out of general fund; special taxes; employment of deputy sheriff The governing authority of a parish in which a preserve is established may appropriate money for the use and benefit of the preserve out of its general fund, and vote special taxes for the maintenance, operation, and equipment of the preserve. It may employ and pay a deputy sheriff, under the supervision of the sheriff of the parish, to aid the commission in the enforcement of its rules and regulations for the conservation and protection of the game and fish in the preserve.
