RS 6:867 - Dissolution or liquidation An association may be dissolved or liquidated either voluntarily or involuntarily. If the proceedings are voluntary, they may be instituted by any member or stockholder of the association and the board of directors shall maintain control over the activities, subject to the consent and supervision of the commissioner. If the proceedings are involuntary, they may be instituted by any member or stockholder of the association or the commissioner, but the commissioner shall take possession of and control over the association and its activities.
