RS 6:969.30 - Conditions applying to insurance provided by the extender of credit If an extender of credit agrees with a consumer to obtain or provide insurance, the insurance shall either be evidenced by an individual policy or certificate of insurance delivered to the consumer, or sent to him at his address as stated by him, within forty-five days after the term of the insurance commences or the extender of credit shall promptly notify the consumer of any failure or delay in providing or obtaining the insurance, individual policy, or certificate of insurance.
