RS 8:121 - St. Mary Parish Cemetery District; creation; location The St. Mary Parish Police Jury is hereby authorized to create a Public Cemetery District composed of that part of Police Jury District 3 lying outside of the incorporated municipality of Patterson, that part of Police Jury District 5 lying outside of 1980 Census Enumeration Districts 150T, 150U, and 151, and Police Jury District 4 of St. Mary Parish. The objective and purpose of the St. Mary Parish Cemetery District created under the provisions of this Chapter shall be the acquisition, establishment, operation, and maintenance of one or more public cemeteries within the district.
